Dit ben ik in 1970, 4 jaar. Op de kleuterschool. Een verplichte schoolfoto. Lief he? Zo lief ben ik nog steeds alleen staat er nu een 6 achter de 4 :)
Omdat het een oude foto is heb ik het schilderij helemaal in sepia gedaan om het oude effect een beetje te behouden. De gelijkenis was niet 100 %, misschien 90 %, maar ach, wie weet dat nou? :) Het was in ieder geval heel leuk om te doen, ook omdat er allerlei herinneringen naar boven kwamen.
Like Stevie Wonder says, isn't she wonderful, isn't she beautiful. Like your color choice to set the photo's "aged" look. :). Glad you too have caught the people bug. Nice to see first thing in the morning sipping tea on the porch - wishing you were here.

That's adorable! I thought so even before I got the post translated. Sepia was an excellent idea to preserve the feeling. Have you considered doing a fill color portrait of the (your) face? I saw Helen Van Wyck do that once, first a value study in one color, then a color one. It could be very nice.

He Judy!:) Nee, het gezicht was het allermoeilijkste. Een uitdrukking er op krijgen en alles in de juiste proporties en dan moet het er ook nog een beetje op lijken:) Maar ik was wel tevreden hoor.
